A Quincy teenager is facing additional charges in the February murder of Jahleel Munnings, 17, of Quincy and the shooting of another Quincy man, Luis Nava Trujillo who survived his wounds.

The Columbia Basin Herald reports Noel Cardenas of Quincy pleaded not guilty Monday in Grant County Superior Court to first-degree murder and all three of the additional charges of first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and drive-by-shooting.   Cardenas, who turned 18 on Monday, has 11 previous convictions in juvenile court, including two felony convictions.   He remains jailed on $1 million bail.

The newspaper reported a Quincy police officer reported seeing someone he believed to be Cardenas holding a rifle moments after the shootings February 25th in Quincy.  Cardenas is alleged to have fired several more shots, killing Munnings and wounding 20 year old Trujillo in the shoulder, before fleeing in a vehicle.
