Air Quality issues return through the weekend

An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the Washington Department of Ecology for Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Adams, Okanogan and six more counties until 10am on Monday. The local fires within the Cascades will contribute to the problem but Easterly winds will bring wildfire smoke into the region from fires burning in Montana and Southeastern British Columbia. Children, the elderly, and individuals with respiratory illnesses are most at risk of serious health effects. If you experience respiratory distress, you should speak with your physician.
