There was some welcome relief from smoke over the weekend and the Environmental Protection Agency says air quality was sitting in the "good" and "moderate" categories across most of eastern Washington this morning.

However, Department of Ecology monitors indicated "Unhealthy" readings in Wenatchee and "Hazardous Conditions" in Cle Elum as of 2pm

An air quality alert is in effect for Chelan, Douglas, Kittitas, Yakima and Klickitat counties through 10AM Wednesday.  With a mild ridge building today and tomorrow, winds will be light and smoke has already started accumulating in Central Cascades valleys.
