Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones had the honor of presenting a large donation check to Behind the Badge Foundation in Seattle on Monday. The money raised came from the first annual John Bernard Memorial Golf Tournament held in May. The foundation received $76,500.

The donation will assist with responding to law enforcement line of duty deaths in the State of Washington as well as surviving spouse and children support.

The golf tournament was named after Deputy John Bernard, the Sheriff's Office first line of duty death that occurred on January 3rd, 2010.

Sheriff Jones has committed to the golf tournament in 2018 and sponsors have already started donating for next year.
