Inmate Dies in Chelan County Jail

The North Central Washington Special Investigations Unit is looking into the death of an inmate at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center.

Around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon jail staff found that 31 year old Jeremy Lavendar of Okanogan was not breathing. CPR performed by both jail staff and EMS crews were unable to revive him.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed by the Chelan County Coroner. The Wenatchee Police Department is the lead agency in the investigation.
