Photographer Jean O'Keeffe will be the featured artist in next month's First Friday event, February 7th at Two Rivers Art Gallery.

O'Keeffe said her process is to start with a photograph and then use 'darkroom' software and tools to digitally enhance the image to how she sees it.

"I see it as the direction that photography will probably move." explained O'Keeffe, "The more software programs that come out, the more common it becomes for photographers to go in and actually process their photos. It's kind of on the cutting edge right now."

O'Keeffe says her interest in photography began at eleven years old when she go her first camera, but she didn't start working as an artist in digitally-enhanced photography until 2011.

First Friday will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 102 N. Columbia Street in Wenatchee. There will be music by guitarist Lance Tigner at the event, as well as complimentary refreshments.
