New fire near Palisades prompts Level 3 evacuations

A brush fire was reported about 4:30am burning along SR 28 and Palisades Road with LEVEL 3 evacuations have been ordered along the first 6 miles of Palisades Road.  Red Cross has set up an emergency shelter at Columbia Grove Church in East Wenatchee, 19 McElmury Lane NE  Pets can be sheltered at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society.
In Grant County, LEVEL 1 evacuation notice is issued for Trinidad to Road N-NW and Baird Springs Rd east from Crescent Bar Rd  Grant County Sheriff's Information Officer Sharon Palmerton said the Level 1 notice was precautionary and in response to the possible adavnce of the larger Sutherland Canyon Fire now at over 5,00 acres.
