The Jack and Edna Maguire Recreation Center is now officially open. The $6.2 million facility is the newest building at Wenatchee Valley College.

There was a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday. WVC President Jim Richardson said he was impressed with how the students, college, and the community worked together to make the project happen.

The center is named for Edna Maguire, who gave a $1 million donation to the WVC College Foundation. Maguire was recognized during groundbreaking ceremonies in October 2016.

The 17-thousand square foot complex houses 2 basketball courts, a multipurpose area, fitness equipment and weights.
