Omak Stampede this weekend

We are coming up on the 2nd weekend in August so it's time for the Omak Stampede. The 84th annual event attracts up to 45-thousand visitors to Omak. Event manager Sara Grooms says the Native American encampment, western and native art show, a carnival, PRCA rodeo events and the World Famous Suicide Race are the perfect blend of customs.  "It's where two cultures unite to make one great event and its been true for years.  We each have to have our own little part to make it what it is" said Grooms.

Over 350 horsemen will compete in PRCA rodeo events and the World Famous Suicide Race on Sunday has 19 riders signed up. Opening ceremonies are Thursday evening and a for more complete information, check out the official website of the Omak Stampede
