Pedestrian Killed North of Omak

A 35-year-old Inchelium died after he was struck by a truck walking down County Road 280 north of Omak. The incident occurred Sunday evening. Duran Marchand was walking along the road when a Ford F350, driven by 34-year-old Ryan Cate, crossed the center line, striking Marchand. Marchand died at Mid-Valley Hospital. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the accident and have not filed any charges as of yet.
