Relocation of existing Chelan PUD equipment, including electrical poles and wires, is required to accommodate the City of Wenatchee’s roadway improvement project along South Chelan Avenue. The work is from Peachy to Ferry streets, beginning Monday. There will be traffic impacts, including periodic road closures in some sections of the work area, through the duration of the project, which could last six weeks. PUD crew work hours are generally active Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible, using Mission St. or other routes. Customers in the area have been informed that street parking might be impacted and driveways might be blocked periodically during work hours. There could also be short power outages, and customers will be notified with details prior to any planned outage. For more information on the City of Wenatchee’s Chelan Avenue Sidewalk Project, go to www.wenatcheewa.gov and search for “Chelan Avenue Sidewalk Project." For updates on the PUD’s project schedule, please visit the website, www.chelanpud.org/ChelanAvenue
