Speeding vehicle crash on South Mission injures one person

One person is in jail and another is injured after a serious crash Thursday morning in the 400 block of S. Mission Street in Wenatchee.  Wenatchee Police say around 9:15 a.m. 21 year old Jonathan J. Fleming-Goforth was driving up to 70 miles per hour in the 30 MPH speed zone.

That led to a collision that resulted in injuries to a 33 year old Wenatchee man who was hospitalized with internal injuries and broken bones. Fleming-Goforth was checked by EMT's at the scene and then booked into the Chelan County Region Jail for suspicion of Vehicular Assault. Police believe alcohol was a factor.

The incident clogged traffic when South Mission street was closed for about two hours.
