Train trestle fire in Cashmere

A trestle fire shut down Sunset Highway and River Street in Cashmere and sent up a dark plume of smoke about 4:45pm Tuesday afternoon.  The location was behind CrunchPak and involved the trestle and some shrubs growing underneath.

Public Information Officer Annie Schmidt said firefighters got the fire under control quickly and no structures were threatened.  The cause of is under investigation.
