YAKIMA, WA – The Washington State Tree Fruit Association (WSTFA) will host the 112th Annual Meeting and NW Hort Expo at the Wenatchee Convention Center on December 5, 6 & 7th.

The three day event serves as a forum to discuss the latest trends and hot topics within the tree fruit industry.  This year’s theme, “The New Normal: Continuous Change,” covers topics of interest including: new technology, market conditions, food safety and more. The goal behind this year’s theme is not only to discuss the challenges within the industry, but to identify strategies and solutions to overcome them.  Dr. Jim McFerson will give this year’s Batjer address Monday morning outlining updates to the industry's technology development plans.  Mike Hulett, a senior produce executive at Wal-Mart, will also be speaking on trends retailers are seeing in the fresh produce market.
