The Wenatchee Downtown Association recognized businesses and a non-profit among an evening of awards at the 2017 Appreciation Dinner Wednesday night.

The World reports the street side dining area at McGlinn’s Public House, Mela Roasting Company's relocated coffee roasting operation and the office renovations at United Way of Chelan and Douglas Counties earned Innovation Awards.

The Heart of Downtown Award went to retired retailers Sam and Vicki Mills of Mills Bros. and Firehouse Pet Shop & Grooming was named Best of Downtown.  Mike Salmon received the Spirit of Downtown Award

In other categories, Threads, a clothing boutique was voted best new downtown business and Iwa Sushi and Grill was selected for best dining experience.

  • Most Creative Window Display: The Gilded Lily
  • Downtown's Best Neighbor: Merriment Party Goods
