The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for most of North Central Washington and into Northern Idaho beginning Friday morning.

Meteorologist Amanda Young says there could up to two inches of snow in the valley with more in the higher elevations.

"It's going to be an arctic front which is going to be moving through the area overnight Friday. It's going to bring some below normal temperatures and some breezy conditions across the region."

High wind gusts could also result in blowing snow and poor visibility and even some downed trees.

The mountain passes are expected to get several inches of snow.
