A driver escaped injury when a wrench flew off the car he was following and came through the windshield.  The incident happened on US 97A this morning about 13 miles north of Wenatchee.  Trooper Brian Moore, the State Patrol District 6 Public Information Officer for Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Kittitas, and Okanogan counties reminds motorists to make sure there are no loose items on your vehicle before driving.  This driver was lucky but flying debris can be deadly.  Moore urges drivers to secure your load.
