Body Found by Okanogan River Near Tonasket Identified

The Okanogan County Sheriff's Office has identified the body that was found near the Okanogan River south of Tonasket as Alejandro Porras-Vega from that town.

He was 20 years old when he went missing in May of 2019.

The Department says due to the state of decomposition there needs to be further examination by a forensic anthropologist to determine the cause of death.

The remains were found on July 8th by a passerby.
