Bridgeport Man Arrested for Firing Handgun in a Trailer Park
A young man is in jail after being seen firing a handgun multiple times in a trailer park in the 900 block of Maple Street in Bridgeport Thursday morning.
Prior to Douglas County Sheriff's deputies arriving around 10:00 am the suspect had fled in a green passenger car, but Sheriff Kevin Morris said he was arrested without incident later on in the day.
"It is my understand that there were no injuries. I don't believe he was shooting at any individual." explained Morris, "It was more shooting recklessly, and that was one of the reasons why he was charged with reckless endangerment."
21-year-old Guadalupe Martinez of Bridgeport was booked into jail and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm on top of the reckless endangerment charge.
