The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting Friday evening that left at least one confirmed bullet hole in a car in the 1600 block of 8th Street Southeast in East Wenatchee.

Undersheriff Tyler Caille said the bullet hole was actually discovered Monday morning in the car of a Wenatchee High School student. The investigation then turned to the residence on 8th Street Southeast where two pistol-caliber casings were found nearby in the street.

"So (investigators) are still working angles and still trying to determine if this was a random event or if by some chance it was targeted." stated Caille, "Based on everything that they've determined so far, they believe this was a random incident."

No one was injured in the shooting. Neighbors in the area are advised to check their cars and property for any possible bullet holes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at (509) 884-0941.
