Chelan City Council Appoints Chris Baker to Open Seat

The Chelan City Council this week offered the vacancy for Position 3 to Chris Baker after interviews with five potential candidates.

Baker has a degree in Political Science and has worked as a public school teacher and youth sports coach.

He was also a volunteer with Rotary International with Baker saying he's been involved in public service most of his life.

The seat became open in August when Ray Dobbs announced he was moving out of the area.

Baker's term is scheduled to run through the end of 2023.
