Collision Sends East Wenatchee Man to Harborview
A two-vehicle collision has sent a 33-year-old East Wenatchee man to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
State Patrol Trooper John Bryant says two cars, a Subaru and a Dodge Neon, were headed in opposite directions on Highway 28 east of Crescent Bar.
"The Subaru, a smaller station wagon, was traveling eastbound and lost control after trying to swerve to avoid a deceased deer in the lane and struck the Dodge Neon. Both vehicles came to rest on the westbound shoulder."
An off-duty Ballard Ambulance vehicle came across the scene and started checking for injuries shortly after the accident.
Both drivers were taken to Central Washington Hospital. The driver of the Dodge Neon, a 40-year-old woman from Ephrata, was expected to be released Tuesday.
