Remember These Long-Gone Washington Kmart Locations?
This Sunday, October 20th, the Kmart in Bridgehampton, New York—the last full-size Kmart store in the continental U.S.—closed forever.
Bridgehampton is in the iconic Hamptons, on the eastern part of Lond Island, New York. After this Sunday, only one small-format store will remain in Miami. There are also well-performing Kmart stores in Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
With K Cafe luncheonettes and Bluelight Specials long gone, Kmart itself has become a relic of the past.
The last time the company made a profit was in 2010.
We had such great times at Kmart.
Kmart's heyday was in the 1970s and 1980s. There was something magical about Christmas shopping at Kmart.
