The Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center Board of Directors announced Friday that Laurel Turner will be the museum's Interim Director.

Turner previously worked as the Executive Director of the Women's Resource Center of NCW.

Public Relations Coordinator Ashley Sinner said Turner will take the place of outgoing Director Keni Sturgeon, who has been in the role since 2018.

"The board expects to be working with her for up to six months as we enter the process of finding a permanent replacement." explained Sinner, "That's based on our past experience looking for a leadership role for the museum.

Turner, who has lived in the Wenatchee Valley since 1995, earned a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Non-profit Organization Management from the University of Washington Tacoma. She also has a certificate in Effective Grant-writing from Tacoma Community College.
