One Manson resident is looking forward to a free trip to the Oregon coast after being named Link Transit's 30 millionth rider Wednesday.

Communications Coordinator Eric West said Jennifer Harris was riding Route 21, on her way from Manson to Wenatchee to pick up her car from the shop, when representatives from Link began handing out gift boxes to passengers, with the grand prize going to Harris.

"Basically since Link started service nearly 30 years ago she said that she and her friends would ride from Manson down into Wenatchee and go to the movies, the mall, things like that." explained West, "I think her children currently use it every now and then."

Harris said Wednesday was her 19th straight day of work.

Link Transit began service in 1991 with 13 gas-powered buses. It has since grown to nearly 60 buses, including 12 electric buses.
