Moses Lake Warns About Imposter Twitter Feed Masquerading as Official City Account

The City of Moses Lake is warning the public about an imposter Twitter feed claiming to be the official City Twitter account.

The city says it's filed a complaint with the social media site to get the false account taken down immediately.

It says the false account inaccurately states it is the official Moses Lake Twitter feed, and is improperly using the City's trademark logo.

The City says its complaint is currently under review and that it was told by Twitter that action would be taken if there's a violation of Twitter rules.

“The account is fake and illegally using the City’s name and logo,” City Manager Allison Williams said. “We hope Twitter takes swift and appropriate action to take this page down.”
