Pangborn Memorial Airport will begin rebuilding their aviation ramp this fall, a project that is expected to cost $10 million.

Chelan-Douglas Regional Port Authority Executive Director Jim Kuntz says they will be upgrading from asphalt to concrete.

"It's a great improvement, it will accommodate not only existing traffic with Alaska Airlines, but we're building a big enough ramp if we get service from larger airlines that it can accommodate the terminal buildings."

They are waiting on FAA approval on the funding of the project.

Pangborn will also be the recipient of more than $5 million as part of the recently passed federal infrastructure project.
