A local group is sending more than $12,000 to Ukraine after holding a fundraiser at Pybus Market over the weekend.

The Fundraiser was organized by the Wenatchee based nonprofit VHF Ukraine, with food being provided by Blue Skies Food Shack.

The group says 100 percent of the donations from the fundraiser will end up in Ukraine in the next few days.

One anonymous donor gave $5,000.

The nonprofit says "Mission VHF" stands for "Voice and Hands of a Friend". It's social media website says the organization was established in 2007, with work in Ukraine beginning in 2011.

Blue Skies Food Shack is a food truck operated by Joe Gluzinski.

Gluzinski says the truck served 15 gallons of his family’s Ukrainian Halupki (Stuffed cabbage with beef rolls) at the fundraiser.

The food ran out at about 1:15 during the event that was scheduled for 11am-2pm Saturday.
