Okanogan Fire Assistant Chief Christian Johnson underwent surgery on his chest and abdomen yesterday according to Amy Freel who coordinated the GoFundMe page. His next scheduled surgery is today which will be on his arms.

Johnson suffered second and third degree burns over more than half of his body this past weekend fighting the Spring Coulee Fire.

The family is asking that there be no visitors so Johnson can recover, but cards are accepted at:

Room 2CT99 Box 359727
Seattle. WA 98104

The GoFundMe has raised more than $24,000 and donations can also be made at North Cascades Bank in Okanogan.
