Okanogan County Sheriff Warning of Scam

The Okanogan County Sheriff's Office is warning residents of a scam that has hit the area.

Someone is calling and identifying themselves as Sheriff Tony Hawley and requesting donations.

On a Facebook post warning of the scam, the Sheriff's Office says that Hawley is not calling to request money via gift cards.

If you receive that call, hang up the phone.
