Recovery Council Focuses on Business Toolkit for Reopen Strategy
The Wenatchee Recovery Council is focusing on two strategies, proactive testing and business toolkits, for a safe reopening of businesses.
The proactive COVID-19 testing effort will require the testing of 250 households for COVID-19 for the purpose of providing on the ground data. The toolkits will be available to all businesses in the community starting Wednesday and includes a handful of resources to guide how to operate safely.
"I think what will really help businesses is, there is a template in there that a business could use for creating their business safety plan," said Sasha Sleiman, government affairs director.
The safety plan establishes how businesses will keep customers and employees safe and required by all businesses in the industry moving forward.
"We also provide a checklist for businesses that they can check off what they're doing in their business to keep their employees and guests safe," said Sleiman. "
Other resources in the toolkit include printable posters with information for customers and employees, general background on COVID-19, state guidelines for all employers and specific industry guidelines.
The toolkit will be available on the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce's website.
