The U.S. Forest Service will begin trail improvement work on the Snow Lakes Trail Monday between Nada and Snow Lakes.

Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest Public Affairs Officer Robin DeMario says, "During the work days Monday through Thursday, hikers should expect possible delays up to 3-4 hours as explosives are being used to remove a major landslide in the area. For more information, please contact our Wenatchee River Ranger District office."

The trail is a popular one to access the Enchantments.

DeMario also noted that most of their campgrounds are open in time for Fathers Day weekend with some exceptions. She did warn that ticks and rattlesnakes are out if you visit the forests.

She also noted that a great trip for the weekend is the Box Canyon viewpoint off the Entiat River Road.
