Soap Lake City Council Considering Change to Fireworks Rules

The Soap Lake City Council is taking public input on a potential change to fireworks laws regarding personal use.

They have narrowed their options to two; one would continue to allow citizens to launch fireworks on Smokiam Beach within city limits, the other would ban firework use by citizens and replace that with a city-provided 4th of July show.

Public comment is being taken through June 16th.

Any potential change would not go into effect until 2022.
