The agency has republished a social media post from law enforcement in the Puget Sound area about combating vehicle theft

Tesla’s, Nissan Leafs, Hyundai's, Kia’s, Ford, and even Rivian. And then there are the “plug-in Hybrids”, they all need to be plugged in at some point to keep going. The cheapest place to do that is at home.

The decision to not insure the vehicles only applies to new policies. Current policyholders can renew insurance as necessary.
