Residents of East Wenatchee, Omak and Malott were among the 49 graduates of the most recent Washington State Patrol Academy that wrapped up Wednesday.

All three, Jared Raber, Lars Weigel and Jessica Adams will be station in the Okanogan detachment for their first assignments.

Chief John Batiste says, "The 49 cadets graduating today endured a rigorous application process, extensive background investigation, and received the best training, unmatched anywhere else in the nation."

Historically, only about four to six percent of the total number of applicants makes the grade to become WSP troopers.
