One drug dealer and a very large amount of drugs are off the streets after Wenatchee police, with assistance from the East Wenatchee Police Department, conducted a traffic stop Thursday night on a suspected fentanyal dealer.

Captain Brian Chance said the investigation led the seizure of over 1,500 suspected fentanyl pills, 20 grams of heroin and some cash. The pills reportedly have a street value of upwards of $24,000.

"This seizure of pills is the biggest seizure that I'm personally aware of," stated Chance.

Fentanyl is extremely dangerous and has been linked to several overdoses in the valley.

The investigation is ongoing.
