Tuesday, February 11th is election day, the first of what could be five different elections this year.

If you're within a district that's got something on the table, make sure to get those ballots postmarked or in a ballot box by 8:00 pm Tuesday.

Citizens in Washington state can register to vote on election day. However, for a special election, you must be a resident of one of the districts with an issue on the ballot.

Chelan County Auditor Skip Moore said that beyond Tuesday's election, there could be another special election in April, on top of the presidential primary in March, another primary election in August, and then the general election in November.

"So voters should be seeing pretty much no major changes in their interaction with us. It's just that you're going to be seeing ballots flying around at times." Moore explained, "They may have two ballots at the same time in their household."

Moore added that so far the ballot returns have been decent, but not as much as they'd like.

One question entering tomorrow's election is whether the states new election website, myvote.wa.gov, will perform problem-free for the first time.

Douglas County Auditor Thad Duvall stated that last week's problem at the Iowa caucuses is in no way similar to the glitches experience in the first couple of elections in Washington state since implementing the site.

"(Myvote.wa.gov) is a voter registration system and an election night reporting system, but it is not a tabulation system. Our tabulators didn't have any hitches." Duvall said, "It's just that, when we (previously) went to report out, the reporting part of it that had to go through the State Secretary of State, which is where we had the trouble. Getting our results posted is the problem."

Duvall added that the county will start mailing ballots out for the March 10th presidential primary in a couple of weeks.
