US 2 to Close Around Stevens Pass Tuesday Morning for Avalanche Work

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is warning early morning drivers that US 2 through Stevens Pass will close for avalanche work Tuesday.

WSDOT says the closure will begin at 4:00 am and will take from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Eastbound traffic will be stopped at Scenic while westbound traffic will be halted at the Stevens Pass summit.

WSDOT will provide an update should an extended closure become necessary.
