A section of Wenatchee Heights Road will be closed for two weeks beginning Wednesday, September 2nd.

According to Chelan County Public Works, the road will be closed at the east and west intersections of Wenatchee Heights and Wheeler roads. Temporary barricades will be placed at the intersections. A temporary detour will be set up on Wheeler Road and is set to be in place evenings and weekends as well.

The detour onto Wheeler Road is necessary so the project’s contractor can build a retaining wall that will allow Public Works to widen the road at the hairpin corner on Wenatchee Heights Road.

People living on Wheeler Road should anticipate increased traffic during the temporary detour.
