On 10-27-2016 at approximately 1900 hours, K9 Reno was struck by a car while chasing a felony suspect. Thankfully Reno will make a full recovery. The Chelan County Sheriffs is in need of assistance with paying for Reno's surgery bills. Anything is appreciated.

Our K-9 Reno is in need of well wishes and prayers for a fast recovery after needing surgery to repair a small fracture on his right elbow.

On 11-8-2016 Reno went through surgery to strengthen his elbow. The surgeon had to place two screws into Reno's elbow and bicep to hold the fracture in place. This surgery will allow Reno to have full range of motion and no possibility for arthritis down the road.

With "doggy" physical therapy the vet is confident that Reno will make a full recovery.

Reno is up and walking around but will be very limited in activity. We are hopeful that Reno and his partner will be back on the road again together by the new year.

The Chelan County Sheriff's Office relies heavily on donations to support our K-9 program. If you would like to make a donation to the K-9 program to help with Reno's medical expenses, please go to the following webpage for information on how to make that donation.
