Link Transit and Cashmere Library are joining forces to produce a free workshop led by Wenatchee artist, Lisa Robinson. Next Thursday, September 19th, from 8:45 until noon, Robinson will lead the "Still Life with a Pumpkin" painting activity.

At the workshop, the artwork created will be printed by Link to be plastered on t-shirts. The new shirts will be worn as part of the October 4th First Friday ArtsWalk Art on the Move exhibit.

"We're hoping people will have fun with the idea, make some really creative artwork and then join us with their t-shirts to walk around downtown on First Friday in October," said Selina Danko, Link Transit outreach coordinator.

Wenatchee residents can meet at Columbia Station at 8:45 for the Route 22 to Cashmere, the bus trip is free. Cashmere residents can skip the bus ride and join in on the fun at 10 a.m.

"We wanted to symbolize the fact that we are on the move with our buses all the time with a moving art exhibit that would be on t-shirts, worn by the artists participating in these workshops," said Danko.

There is limited space for the event, so to register call 664-7624.
