National Make-A-Difference Day was celebrated across the Wenatchee Valley Saturday. Many organizations and groups brought about good things for the community. We here at the seven stations of Cherry Creek Media held our annual 'Coats For Kids' drive at the Albertson's parking lot on Miller from 10 til 2. We're pleased to announce we set a record in both the number of coats collected, as well as cash donations. Besides numerous jackets, hats, gloves and scarves given by so many charitable listeners, we gathered 1203 coats during this year's campaign. This means 1203 kids across the area won't have to suffer winter weather without something warm to bundle up in. We at Cherry Creek Media salute everyone who helped us achieve such an incredible feat, in particular our primary sponsors, Apple Valley Honda and the Wenatchee World.
