Fire crews from as far as Leavenworth and Orondo responded Monday evening about 630pm to a fire at an apartment building on Ramona Avenue in Wenatchee.

Chelan County Fire information officer Rick Isaacson said the blaze spread to the building when an RV parked in the street caught fire and flames spread from a row of nearby arborvitae to a large tree that was overhanging the west end of the apartment building.  Isaacson said the fire entered the eaves and upper area at the west end of the of the building.

At least one family was displaced by the damage but Isaacson said there were no injuries. The fire drew a multiple alarm response from Chelan County #1, Monitor, Leavenworth, Entiat, Douglas County #2 and Orondo because of the close proximity of neighboring properties but the fire was confined to the original structure, rv and landscaping.
