Small fire near Loop Trail draws quick response

A small brush fire was quickly extinguished shortly after 5am this morning near the Apple Capital Loop Trail and 13th St. in East Wenatchee.  A RiverCom dispatcher said Douglas County #2 firefighters reported flames and smoke were visible when they arrived.  The fire burned an area about 100 square feet and was confined to some stumps and brush between the trail and the river.  A firefighter at the Douglas County #2 station said the the origin of the fire was undetermined.
