I-90 Reopened After Truck Accident Blocks Both Lanes Monday
UPDATE 6am Tuesday--I-90 Snoqualmie Pass is open both directions but a chain requirement was posted by the Department of Transportation. Heavy snow was reported. A jack-knifed semi truck accident was cleared late Monday afternoon near milepost 52
There are significant backups westbound on I-90 after an earlier non-injury truck accident that is blocking both lanes at milepost 52 near the summit of Snoqualmie Pass. The westbound lanes reopened around 3:45 p.m. The accident was reported about 10:30 Monday according to State Trooper Brian Moore.
There are delays that are expected be ongoing as the congestion clears out and as of 4:00 p.m. chains were required.
Also as of 4:00 p.m. the eastbound lanes are closed due to multiple spinouts at milepost 47 Denny Creek.
WSDOT camera shows lengthy backup of westbound traffic at around 12:30.
