The City of Wenatchee's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department will be showing two movies, "Moana" and "Beethoven" drive-in style at the Town Toyota Center next month.

Recreation Supervisor Caryl Andre says they started this idea last year to a lot of positive response.

"We haven't had a drive-in in a while, so everybody just had a wonderful time. We had concessions and people were sitting in the backs of their trucks, or some did it like a regular drive-in. We have an FM transmitter so they can listen to it through their radio. We also have it on a big sound system."

The shows are Friday, September 10th and Saturday, September 18th.

Andre says they are very thankful they found two sponsors, Guild Mortgage and Abel Mendez Farmers Insurance to help them put on the event.

"It's free, but you do need to pre-register because we only have a designated amount of spots in the parking lot. Pre-registration is on the city of Wenatchee's website under Parks and Recreation. It goes very quickly. We filled up in two hours last year."

"Moana" is September 10th with "Beethoven" on the 18th.
