Chelan County Commissioner Bob Bugert will not be seeking re-election in November with plans to retire at the end of his term.

In a statement, Bugert said: "I thank everyone in Chelan County for giving me this opportunity to serve. It has been an enriching and rewarding experience. I have been impressed with the inherent goodness of the people of this county and with the dedication and professionalism of the staff of Chelan County. We have much to be proud of.”

Bugert was elected in 2018 to represent District 2 in the county which includes Leavenworth, Cashmere and the west and central part of Wenatchee.

The filing date for elections is the week of May 16th through the 20th.
