Grant County is seeing a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases, similar to the spike now hitting Chelan and Douglas counties.

Numbers out Thursday from the Grant County Health District show there have been about 180 new cases per day in the past week.

Seven day totals have more than doubled from a week ago (1,261 on Jan. 13 vs 502 on Jan. 6).

The Grant County Health District is asking residents to be on the lookout for test kits early next week, along with masks.

The agency says it's working to bring back additional Saturday testing and vaccine clinics.
