The Icicle Fund is celebrating its 20th anniversary by hosting two Artist-In-Residence events in celebration of the Conservation, History and Arts (CHA) of North Central Washington. The first opportunity for North Central Washington artists is in the Methow Valley at the Methow River (April 24-26) followed by an opportunity later in the fall in Leavenworth at the Wenatchee River (September 25-27).

"We've decided as part of the board as Icicle Fund to hold two artist in residences in two different places because the Icicle Fund works across North Central Washington," said Amanda Jackson Mott, executive director of Methow Arts Alliance. "Both are a celebration of the three different focuses of the Icicle Fund."

Up to 16 artists will be selected for each Cha Cha event and artists will visit ten locations over the course of the weekend. The artists will document the surroundings through various forms and mediums of art and after the residency, a traveling exhibit is scheduled to showcase the work.

"We welcome applications from any artists, we want them to be practicing artists. It will be competitive for sure," said Jackson Mott. "But what's beautiful about this is, is that we are open to any artistic discipline. It could be dance, literary, visual art, music, really anything."

Applicants are expected to reside in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan or Grant counties.  Applications are being accepted for the first residency in the Methow Valley, which is April 24th-26th, and are due by February 15th.
