Both comment periods for the Mission Ridge Expansion Project are coming to a close, and the ski resort is asking for the public's help in stuffing the proverbial comment box before time runs out.

General Manager Josh Jorgensen stated the U.S. Forest Service's comment period ends Friday, while Chelan County is accepting comments until March 30th.

"I encourage people to go to our website. There is a link on the homepage of our website that has kind of our rationale." Jorgensen said, "There are links to all the plans, links to the Forest Service pages, links to the county pages where all the documents and all the application materials are. Or you can reach out to use at expansion@missionridge.com."

The Mission Ridge Expansion Project began after 800 acres adjacent to the ski resort was purchased. The project looks to add chairlifts and more on-sight accommodations as well as opportunities for things like Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, snow tubing, and fat-tire biking.
